Every year, we complete over 40 events and work with client teams to provide stellar service  within budget. We approach every project with the know-how of a consummate  professional and the passion of a true event enthusiast.

Our patented Sign Slide System, developed in 1999, evolved into a total buildout system, and continues to be our claim to fame. It won us our first Olympic involvement in 2002 at the Salt Lake Olympic Torch Relay and has enabled us to provide reliable, customizable temporary structures for events ever since.

APCG’s founder Jonathan Cooper is a former New York State cycling champion who raced bikes in Holland, Belgium and Luxemburg. After returning to the US and graduating from the NYU Stern School of Business, Cooper started American Pro Cycling Group (APCG) organizing circuit races in major markets throughout the US with Tour de France winner Greg LeMond as spokesperson.

A Passion for Creating Events with Visual Impact

With Cooper’s keen interest in raising the bar for events, APCG’s focus shifted from organizing races to providing a better visual experience for spectators, competitors and the media.

A Sign System That Solves an Event Industry Problem

Event venues were typically built with multiple contractors providing backdrops, barricades,  towers, elevated structures, and directional hardware. The need for multiple contractors created  major fabrication problems for getting the signage to fit properly. Coordinating with multiple  contractors was a huge time-consuming task, and the finished venue product never looked  unified. 

It soon became clear that one modular system that incorporates all aspects of a venue buildout where signage was displayed would create continuity, result in a world-class look, and  eliminate countless coordination issues among multiple suppliers.

Our Patented Sign Slide System (SSS) has also proven to be crucial for events with a 2-6 hour buildout time. Using this modular system, we have become leaders in same-day event buildouts. For over 25 years, APCG has never missed a deadline regardless of lead time and has never had a structural failure.
